Of course not! Certainly it can’t be that easy, right? The truth is that this is the point at which the winners and losers are determined. Why would we make such a crazy statement you ask?
Content is king. We’ve all heard the phrase before. It’s never been more true than right now.
A new business/brand/project/website without content is like a car without gas. It might look great for now… but if you want to see it take off and really perform, you need to fill the tank with fuel. Useful, engaging, compelling, content is that fuel. After all – there needs to be a reason for people to visit, learn something and/or be entertained, and want to come back for more, right?
The great thing these days is that content marketing can come in many forms. From articles, blog posts, photos, videos, podcasts, animated/whiteboard vids, social commentary, etc. etc.
This takes time, research, work and a serious commitment to do it right. It’s not an overnight cure either… but more of a medium to long term investment as this strategy can easily take a year or two to really reap the results (traffic) you are looking for. But when it hits – you’ll be very happy you did this up front.
